How do we know which is which? Or are both the same?
My twist of events this last week has been a blended combination of good and bad things—stressful and finally released. My mom has been off in Rehab since Sunday, getting help for her many ailments. My sister, well, she is back home with my dad; her moving-out trip didn’t go as well as she had planned.
Though it sounds snotty, it went as well as many expected. She’s pregnant. And to spill the tea, her current boo is NOT the daddy. Guess those rumors about her weren’t so far off. I do my dammest to stay out of her drama; it’s way too much for me, and between my classes, jobs, and extracurriculars, I don’t have time for her nonsense.
She’s a lot like my mom, which is another reason I try to keep my distance. They want to be the center of attention and get mad when they’re not. And somehow, they always make the problems they cause the fault of everyone around them. Unless you’re the person they’re trying to fool, in which case, they’ll play the perfect victim of mistreatment, and you’ll believe every word they say until you end up around the people they’re trying to keep you from.
And that’s all it takes to break their facade. To be around the people they’re talking so badly about and making out to be mistreating them and belittling them.
That or call them out on something. Do that and watch how quickly you become the problem friend and the issue.
I’m happy my dad is letting me continue staying at my Aunts for now.
